Guadalajara International Airport

Guadalajara International Airport "Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla", is considered the third most important airport of the country.

In 2005, according to data from the operator, Pacific Airport Group (GAP), the airport received a total of 5,656,023 passengers, including 3,456,113 domestic, and 2,199,910 international. It has 2 hydraulic concrete runways, and operates 24 hours per day.

It is located approximately 25 kilometers from the city of Guadalajara and has an area of 1415.5 hectares.

Its main users are national and international tourists, business people, migrants and cargo transportation.

In 2011 Guadalajara International Airport handled about 130,000 tons of cargo, being the second largest airport in this area, below Mexico City International Airport.
